12m Pipe Storage for Export Logistics Hub

CLIENT

An international pipe trading company operating a 3,000 sqm export logistics hub. Handles steel pipes from 2-12 meters in length, 50-300mm diameter, destined for Middle East and African markets.

SOLUTION

Deployed 16-bay TC-2000 system spanning the full warehouse length. Multi-bay synchronized arms support 12m pipes across 4 bays. V-cradle arm surfaces prevent pipe rolling. Each arm level stores a specific diameter/wall thickness combination. Overhead crane with pipe clamps picks directly from extended arms to container loading position.

The Challenge

Floor-stacked pipes created a chaotic, dangerous warehouse. Pipes rolled when bumped, creating safety hazards. Finding specific pipe sizes in mixed stacks took 20-30 minutes. Loading a single container required 4-6 hours of sorting and handling. Pipe surface damage from floor contact and forklift handling caused frequent customer complaints and rejection of shipments.

“Before Tcrack, loading one container was a full-day ordeal. Now we load 3 containers per day with fewer people. Our customers noticed the improvement in pipe surface quality immediately. Complaints dropped to near zero.”
