INSTALLATION
Step-by-Step Rack Installation Guide
Pre-Installation Requirements
Before rack installation begins, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
- Floor: Reinforced concrete, min 150mm thick, 25 MPa compressive strength, cured minimum 28 days
- Floor Flatness: ≤3mm per meter in installation zone (check with laser level)
- Overhead Crane: Operational, load-tested, with hook height clearing top arm level + 500mm
- Utilities: Electrical supply available if motorized drive is specified
- Access: Clear path for rack delivery (forklift or crane for unloading)
- Drawings: Approved layout drawings with anchor point locations marked on floor
TC Series Installation (Welded)
TC Series racks arrive as pre-assembled units. Installation is straightforward:
1
Position uprights — Use crane to place upright assemblies at marked floor locations. Use shims for leveling.
2
Anchor to floor — Drill holes for M20 chemical anchors. Install anchors per manufacturer specs. Torque to 250 Nm.
3
Verify alignment — Check plumb (vertical) with spirit level. Check spacing between uprights matches drawings ±5mm.
4
Test arms — Extend and retract each arm under no-load conditions. Verify smooth operation, proper end-stop engagement.
5
Load test — Apply 110% rated load to each arm. Hold for 10 minutes. Measure deflection. Must be within L/200 limit.
TE Series Installation (Assembled)
TE Series requires full on-site assembly. Allow 2-3× more time than TC Series. Follow the numbered component labels and assembly drawings provided with each shipment. Key differences: upright sections must be bolted together with specified torque values, horizontal bracing installed before arm mounting, and all bolted connections must be re-torqued after 30 days of operation.
Post-Installation Checklist

- ☐ All safety locks functional
- ☐ All end stops in place
- ☐ Load capacity labels installed on each arm and upright
- ☐ Safety signage posted
- ☐ Operator training completed
- ☐ As-built drawings updated and filed
