WAREHOUSE SAFETY

☐ All welds intact (TC Series) — no cracks or corrosion at weld joints
☐ All bolts tight (TE Series) — no loose or missing bolts
☐ Cross bracing/horizontal bracing undamaged and secure
☐ Base plates flat on floor, no gaps or rocking

Mechanical Systems

☐ Chain tension correct (10-15mm deflection at midspan)
☐ Chain lubricated and free of rust
☐ Crank handle operates smoothly, no excessive play
☐ Arms extend and retract without binding or unusual noise
☐ Guide rollers rotate freely, no flat spots or excessive wear
☐ End stops in place and undamaged at both extension limits
☐ Gear reducer — no oil leaks, no unusual noise

☐ All safety locking pins present and functional
☐ Load capacity labels legible on every arm and upright
☐ Warning signage visible and undamaged
☐ Aisle markings and crane zone markings visible
☐ Emergency stop accessible (motorized systems)
☐ Fire extinguisher accessible within 50 feet

Floor & Anchoring

☐ Floor anchors tight — no movement when tested
☐ No cracks in concrete around anchor points
☐ Floor surface clean and free of oil/debris in rack area
☐ Drainage clear (no standing water near rack bases)

Documentation

☐ Inspection date and inspector name recorded
☐ Any deficiencies noted with photos
☐ Work orders created for repairs needed
☐ Previous inspection deficiencies verified as corrected
☐ Inspection records filed for OSHA compliance (keep 3 years minimum)

When to Take Immediate Action

Stop operations and tag out the affected rack section if you find: visible structural cracks or deformation, missing or broken safety locks, anchor bolts pulled from floor, arm that will not lock in retracted position, or any condition that could lead to rack collapse or material falling. Do not resume operations until repairs are completed and verified by a qualified person.
